If you run regular events, it’s crucial to be able to easily identify, track and report who registered, attended and was absent for specific event dates.

One of the features available in DynamicSync is the ability to create and apply these tags in Infusionsoft to the relevant contacts automatically.

Let’s say we run an event called “Office Hours”

We want to know all the contacts in our database who register, attend or are absent on a particular date, for example 20th May, 2018.

Previously you’d have to manually create the following tags:

  • Office Hours – Registered – 20/05/2018
  • Office Hours – Attended – 20/05/2018
  • Office Hours – Absent – 20/05/2018

Not only that, you’d need to be able to then identify those contacts and apply those tags.

Well not anymore!

With the DynamicSync feature “Create & Apply Tag” you’ve got the ability to completely automate this.

To set this up, in Infusionsoft Campaign Builder you create a HTTP post to outline the name of the tag you wish to create.  As soon as the first contact reaches that point in a campaign then the tag gets created.  Then anyone who follows and you wish to create the same name, then the tag automatically gets applied to them.

This might be a bit technical… so let’s get into how to make this happen…

In this video I’ll walk you through the process (including some important hacks/workaround to make sure this works for your events)

The ability to automate your tags being created in Infusionsoft and getting applied to the right contacts saves precious time.  It also gives you valuable data on your contacts to track event statistics.  As mentioned in the video you can setup Infusionsoft directly with saved searched or on your dashboard widget.  Otherwise you can take this to the next level by using a funnel widgets in Graphly to outline the conversions between your key event metrics.

If you can imagine setting up these widgets for each individual event date, then being able to monitor how successful each were.  You can easily compare visually what the differences are between your various event dates.  This helps to determine what worked well and what generated more conversions and do more of that.

Don’t be a slave to your events admin!  Event tracking is critical for any business who leverage events for lead generation or fulfilment purposes.  Take advantage of the ability fo the “Create & Apply Tags” feature in DynamicSync and create your Infusionsoft event tags on autopilot.
